Sustainability as Community, December 2026
Podcast episode and Member Seminar with Rosanna Martin (Cornwall).
Members have a chance to meet the Podcast Guest, ask questions, deep dive into their practice and discuss ideas with leading ceramic professionals.
Rosanna is an artist working in Cornwall. Her practice explores the relationships between landscape, people and materiality through sculpture, participatory projects and events. Altered topographies, objects and marks left on the land by human activity, as evidenced in the reshaping and replacing of geological and manmade material, evoke intrigue and act as starting points for artworks.
Her ongoing project, Brickfield, is an experimental participatory brickworks set in a disused china clay quarry near St Austell, Cornwall. Brickfield explores how the heritage of Cornish brick making can generate contemporary approaches to the material. Their aim is to use the process of collective brickmaking as a tool for creating new connections, with each other, with materials and with the local landscape.
